Updated: April 2026
What Causes the Permission Block
A "Microphone access denied" or "Microphone access is blocked" message means your browser requested the mic but was refused at the system or site level. The most common reasons:
- You clicked "Block" when the browser asked for microphone permission
- Your browser or system settings have microphone access disabled
- An antivirus or security software is blocking microphone access
